At MuscleMind, Doc is able to work directly with both muscle and mind to help people improve their lives.
The words “muscle” and “mind” have every bit to do with improving one’s life: Muscle is the tissue in our bodies that gives us strength and helps us to move forward; Mind is what gives us motivation and the consciousness that allows us to gather and process information and to feel, intuit, and hope.
We will work together to improve your present state of body/mind/spirit and create a better future for yourself and the ones around you! Doc’s hope for you is to use all of the tools that MuscleMind has to offer in order to look, feel, and be your best in order to have the best life possible.

From Doc’s earliest recollections, Doc has always wanted to help people. In 2004, after receiving a master’s degree in counseling psychology with a double minor in chemistry and biology, Doc began working as a counselor. Although Doc found counseling rewarding, it was apparent that this type of work, the work required by health insurance, was to focus on the illness/dysfunction, such as anxiety, depression, marital discord, etc., rather than on the whole person. Thus, Doc’s “job” was to provide an individual with the right “tools” to help the individual function better at work, school, etc. But Doc wanted to do more than just help a person function better.
In 2011 Doc decided to focus more on helping people create a better future for themselves. So, Doc became certified as a professional coach. Coaching allowed Doc to assist people in creating and achieving their goals for the future. However, it still felt like there was something missing.
In 2017 Doc stopped working as a counselor for mental illness and moved more toward affirmation of the whole person. In 2018 Doc became certified as a personal trainer and licensed as a massage therapist. It was at this time that Doc began thinking about how best to help others using all of the skills acquired along their journey.
Doc decided to start building a company that focused on the whole person; body, mind, and spirit. From Doc’s experience, people cannot make any real changes in their lives unless there are changes made in the entire system; changes in nutrition, exercise, thought patterns, belief system, etc. This is when MuscleMind was born.
Ultimately, Doc envisions MuscleMind becoming a holistic health and wellness center; a place where you can come to exercise, seek physical therapy, receive a massage, get advice on health and nutrition, enrich your spiritual life, relax, and most importantly, have fun.
For massage, Doc offers sessions in their home or can come to your home if you live in the Denver area. For first-time clients, please arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment. You will receive an assessment and we will go over your intake form. For all clients, please wear comfortable clothing that will not be stained easily by lotions/oils.
